How to Recycle Earth Harbor Gems

How to Recycle Earth Harbor Gems

What do you do when you run out of your beloved skincare gems? Reduce, reuse, or recycle them! Reusing and reducing should always come first and we strongly encourage this by…

1) Crafting all of our products with plant-derived ingredients and no fillers so that a little goes a very long way.

2) All of our formulas are designed to be adaptable to encourage low consumption.

3) We use the highest-quality glass containers and reusable plastic closures to make upcycling or repurposing your packaging that much easier.

When reusing and reducing isn’t an option, we proudly package all of our gems and formulas in recyclable packaging to make it easy for you when you run out! We are also a proud member of Pact Collective, an organization that makes it easy to recycle hard-to-recycle beauty empties, to cover all of our recycling bases. However, we know recycling can be confusing, and if you’re not recycling your empties correctly, there’s a chance that they could still end up in the ocean or landfills. So we’ve mapped out a simple and easy recycling voyage for you. Let’s dive in!

How to Recycle Earth Harbor Gems

Step 1. Peel off the labels! Make sure to peel off all the labels on your empty containers. However, all labels are recyclable, so place them in your recycling bin or in the package you’re sending off to Pact Collective to recycle.

Step 2. Rinse containers! Take all your beauty empties over to the sink and rinse them thoroughly to make sure there’s no leftover residue or product in or on the container.

Step 3. Recycle! We’ve outlined how to recycle each piece of your container below!

Product Jars

Step 1. Rinse out the glass jar to make sure there’s no leftover product residue.

Step 2. Recycle the plastic lid and glass jar.

Dropper Bottles

Step 1. Unscrew and separate the plastic and glass components of the dropper. Place the plastic component in the trash or recycle it with Pact Collective.

Step 2. Rinse out the glass bottle to make sure there’s no leftover product residue.

Step 3. Recycle the glass bottle with the glass component of the dropper.

Boxes + Shipping Materials

Step 1. Recycle or compost shipping boxes, individual product boxes, tape (that’s right, ours is eco-tape!), and packing paper.

Rather than recycling at home, you can always drop off or send all components of your empties to Pact Collective to make sure everything is recycled correctly. Or check to see what types of glass and plastic your local recycling center accepts.
